Hi. So it’s been a while. This has been a busy summer. But now it’s glorious fall, and I’m just finishing revisions for METALTOWN, my next book coming out in October of 2016 (It will be here before you know it), and finishing my 2017 book (about PIRATES and PRESIDENTS and POLAR ICE CAPS and PANCAKES. Ok, maybe not about pancakes, but definitely about the rest of those things), and working on another top secret project I hope to announce sometime soon (BWAHAHAHA EVIL AUTHOR TEASES YOU).
And. I just had a fabulous trip to New York, where I had the pleasure of signing with the lovely Sara Raasch (SNOW LIKE ASHES – which BTW is now a NYT BESTSELLER! WOOT!), Heather Demetrios (EXQUISITE CAPTIVE) and Amy Ewing (THE JEWEL) at a really incredible store in Manhattan called Books of Wonder. It’s always been a dream of mine to sign in NYC, and this surpassed all my expectations. Plus, my agent, editor, editor friend and publicist were all there to support, so it was even more special.
The next day was a whirlwind. A lunch with my publisher, and the marketing and sales teams, a meet and greet with the amazing publishing folks who work in the Flatiron Building (WHICH IS HOLY COW INCREDIBLE), a spontaneous visit to the Empire State Building for a Sleepless in Seattle moment, all topped off by a visit to Broadway to see Matilda. It was basically the best trip ever. A once-in-a lifetime kind of thing, and if possible, I walked away feeling even more grateful than I already did.
Below are some pictures from my trip, but one more note: I know I’ve been quiet lately (I’ve been working like crazy), but very soon I’m going to start talking about METALTOWN and I’ll need your help spreading the word. I can’t wait to share this book with you, and I hope you’ll share it with others as well. You in? OH YEAH, BABY. BRING IT.
And now, I give you New York.
