Now, on with a pictoblog. Is that what this is called? A pictopost? A post-a-pic? A photoblog? A blog-oto? Ok, that’s quite enough of that.

So…want to see what (else) I’ve been up to the past couple weeks?

After finishing my latest work-in-progress, I flew home for the wedding of a dear friend and went hiking on the Tahoe Rim Trail.  I’m pretty sure it doesn’t get much better than Lake Tahoe. The air is so clean, and everything is so quiet and beautiful. It’s one of my favorite places in the world (beside the closet at my parents’ house). This was our view when we stopped for lunch.

Two weeks later I headed back to the West Coast, this time a little further, to Napa Valley (home of approximately 30 bazillion vinyards) for another fabulous wedding. These pictures don’t do it justice (it was sunny!), but Napa Valley is a charming, artsy, magical place. Even if you’re sober.

If you squint really hard you can see the grapes. Don’t try to pick them. You’ll get in trouble.

After the wedding, we went into San Francisco for some delicious Dim Sum,

checked out the shops on Embarcadero,

(see, it was sunny)

visited some friends, some of whom were really excited to see me,

some of whom were not so excited,

got in some trouble, but escaped due to some very strong swimming skills,

went to see Billy Elliot, an amazing musical about a boy from a coal mining family who wants nothing more than to join the ballet (story of my life), and who consequently learns that what makes him different, makes him special,

and then had a pie at my favorite pie place in Auburn, California to celebrate it all.

So that was my last couple weeks. Have you done anything fun lately?

Remember, don’t forget to check out Lenore’s ARTICLE 5 Preview and enter for a chance to win an A5 ARC!

Also, this week you can catch me posting at Brave New Words about slogging through the middle of a manuscript!
